TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - MRT Jakarta will attach ram to narrow the gap between the train and the platform in every station to ease wheelchair users entering the MRT train, Ratanga. This is done after President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo addressed his critic about the MRT facility for wheelchair users.

"We'll make it more comfortable for the disable community and the ram will be attached," said MRT Jakarta CEO William Sabandar, Friday, March 22.

William says that there is a 5-10 cm gap between the train and the platform in every station and to cut the gap, ram should be installed so a wheelchair can enter the Ratangga train. "MRT is collecting inputs for evaluation to improve the service," he said.

Another complaint from the passengers is the lack of signposts in the stations. William reassures to add the facility in every MRT station after studying which spots should the signpost be installed to ease the passengers.

President Jokowi received feedbacks from several communities, including the disabled community, following the facility in MRT stations after joining the trial run for twice. He, therefore, asked MRT Jakarta management to fix and improve the facility in order to serve all groups including the disabled.
